Shipping & Delivery FAQs

Holiday 2020 Orders: During this holiday rush, we might have slight delays in getting your orders processed. We appreciate your patience and will get your orders out as soon as possible! We are expecting shipping delays due to covid; we recommend ordering early. 

  • The deadline to order anything for the week of December 25th is Saturday, December 19th, at 11:59 pm PST.
  • For the week of Christmas, all orders will be delivered by Christmas Eve (December 24th).
  • The last day we will ship out all packages (overnight and/or 2 day shipping) is December 22nd.
  • It is always safer to order to receive by December 22nd in case there are delays because of so many holiday packages.
  • If picking up your Christmas items in Pasadena, you will need to choose a one hour slot on each Christmas product page; pick-ups will be December 23rd & 24th from 8am-5pm. Please note that for all items, you always need to proceed to checkout and input your address to then choose you pick-up, shipping, or local delivery option, as the options available to you are determined by your location.
  • We will be closed from December 25th-27th and will resume our normal shipping schedule. on Monday, December 28th.
  • We will also be closed December 31st (starting at noon) -January 4th, when we resume shipping.
  • Please email info@yvonnesvegankitchen.com to inquire about any urgent pickups during December 31st-January 4th.
Shipping:
  • Precise shipping costs will be calculated at checkout depending upon your location & the items in your cart. Please note: you always need to input your address, even if you want to pick up, as your options are based upon your zip code.
  • We ship Monday-Thursday.
  • Saturday deliveries (via shipping) are always at least $20 more, depending on the size of your shipment - please complete your order and email info@yvonnesvegankitchen.com to request a Saturday delivery and we will confirm and invoice you separately for the extra charge.
  • We produce Monday-Friday; we are closed on Saturdays & Sundays.
  • 2-day Shipping is $13 and is for cookies, crackers, care packages, & gift boxes that do not include cheese, donuts, or cake.
  • Orders with 2-day shipping are shipped out Monday-Thursday. If your order is received by 2pm PST Monday-Thursday, we will ship out same-day and you could receive your order as soon as the next day. For freshness purposes, if we receive your order after 2pm PST on a Thursday, your order will be shipped out on Monday. (We don’t ship orders from Friday-Sunday because packages typically sit over the weekend at FedEx ship centers. Even if an overnight shipment is made on a Friday, it has been our unfortunate experience that they don’t always get delivered on Saturday. We resume filling orders on Monday for that reason.)
  • Overnight shipping is also available and is the only shipping method available for cakes, cheese, donuts, as well as any orders that include any of these items.
  • Cakes, donuts, and cheese are only available for overnight shipping, pick-up, and/or local delivery.
  • If you have an order that includes cakes, donuts, and/or cheese, as well as other items, but don't want to pay for overnight shipping for everything, please place a separate order for your non-overnight items.
  • If you selected shipping (any method), we will email you tracking once your order ships.
  • Items are prepared fresh and shipped directly from the bakery.
  • Orders cannot be shipped to PO boxes.
Local Delivery Fees: Available on all items. If you selected local delivery, we will contact you to let you know when we plan to deliver.

  • Delivery to Downtown Los Angeles (+$15.00)

  • Delivery to Malibu (+$65.00)
  • Delivery to Thousand Oaks (+$65.00)
  • Delivery to Calabasas & Westlake Village (+$45.00)
  • Delivery to Orange County (+$85.00)
  • Delivery to Long Beach & South Bay (+$50.00)
  • Delivery to Mid City, West Hollywood, Fairfax, Koreatown, & Hancock Park  (+$25.00)

Free Pick-up in Pasadena: if you selected free pick-up in Pasadena, we will be in touch via email with the date and time that your items are ready. Please wait for this email prior to picking up your order.

    • Pickup is available Monday-Friday from 9am-12pm at 1190 N. Fair Oaks Ave. #101 Pasadena, CA. 
    • You are welcome to write your preferred pick-up date & time in the notes box on the Cart page.

Cake Orders:

  • If you are wondering when your cake is going to ship, please check the cake delivery date that you selected at checkout. We will ship the day before your selected date so that your cake arrives on your chosen date.
  • Please note: if you requested a Saturday, Sunday, or Monday delivery date for your cake, we will ship on the prior Thursday so you can receive your cake on Friday, as weekend shipments aren’t always guaranteed by FedEx. (In our experience, Saturday shipments are not always guaranteed.) Reminder: we ship Mondays through Thursdays unless you coordinate with YVK to receive a Saturday delivery, which is more costly and again not always guaranteed to arrive on Saturday. 

Our Process:

  • If you selected free pick-up in Pasadena, we will be in touch via email with the date and time that your items are ready. Please wait for this email prior to picking up your order.
  • As a friendly reminder, we are not a storefront.
  • If you selected local delivery, we will contact you to let you know when we plan to deliver.
  • If you selected shipping, we will email you tracking once your order ships.
  • If you ordered a gift, we will be in touch with the recipient to let them know when we plan to deliver. If your gift is a surprise, please let us know in your order notes; we will only contact the recipient if we can’t get a hold of them at the time of delivery. We will leave the delivery at their doorstep if we don’t get a hold of them.
