Yvonne Ardestani is a French-trained chef who has worked alongside some of the most prestigious names in the culinary world. Today, she’s reinventing classic restaurant dishes and desserts without meat, dairy, eggs, honey, or gluten, and sharing her creations through her Online Shop, Storefront, Wholesale Business, Cake and Catering business, Mobile Yvonne’s Vegan Kitchen Cookbook App, and e-book.
At Yvonne's Vegan Kitchen, we offer a wide selection of all-vegan and gluten-free sweets and savories. Our Online Store features cakes, cookies, donuts, VeganCheeses, breads, healthy snacks, and platters. We provide nationwide shipping, pick-up in Pasadena, and local delivery in Southern California. Additionally, we create custom cakes, wedding cakes, offer catering services, and collaborate with corporate clients for special events and product activations. Our products are available in over 50 retail locations across Southern California, Texas, New York, and Florida.
In September 2023, we proudly opened our storefront at 11 W Dayton Street in Pasadena, California. Our storefront offers everything available in our online shop, plus morning pastries, pie slices, ready-made cakes, and more. We’re open 7 days a week, excluding Christmas. Hours: Monday-Friday, 7am-6pm; Saturday, 9am-6pm; Sunday, 11am-5pm.
Our clientele includes high-profile names in entertainment, sports, wellness, beauty brands, and even two former US presidents.
Yvonne started her blog, My Eclectic Kitchen, in 2009 while attending the Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Pasadena, California. She chronicled her experiences as an intern-turned-cook for renowned chef Suzanne Goin, working in the fast-paced kitchens of Lucques and Tavern. There, she learned the importance of farm-to-table cooking and seasonal ingredients. Yvonne had the honor of preparing dessert for Barack Obama’s fundraiser dinner at Tavern and catering for the SAG awards and Oscar parties.
Although she loved working in professional kitchens, Yvonne’s personal health condition, hypothyroidism, prompted her to study nutrition and explore healthier culinary practices. Despite being an avid runner, her LDL cholesterol and triglycerides were high due to the rich foods she tasted and brought home from work, including indulgent staff meals, croissants, and desserts. This prompted her to eliminate butter, cream, sugar, and kosher salt from her diet, embracing a whole food, plant-based, vegan, and gluten-free lifestyle in early 2013 after reading nutritionist Kimberly Snyder’s The Beauty Detox Solution.
This transition not only improved her health and energy but also aligned with her passion for animal welfare and environmental sustainability.
Yvonne’s recipes are inspired by her multicultural background, favorite ethnic restaurants and markets, cookbooks, magazines, Instagram, blogs, and her own kitchen experiments. She is dedicated to sharing delicious and healthy plant-based recipes that promote wellness and longevity.
