This item is only available for pick-up at our Pasadena storefront or local hand delivery within SoCal. Please write your preferred pick-up/delivery date and time. For pickup: our window is M-F 8am-5:30pm, Saturday 9am-5:30pm, and Sunday 11am-4:30pm at 11 W. Dayton Street Pasadena, CA 91105. (We have moved!) Introducing our Ube Pie, a dessert that’s more than just a sweet treat—it’s a slice of my childhood brought to life. 

Growing up, weekends were often spent at my parents’ real estate office or helping them fix up houses. But the best part of those long days was when they’d give me some change to visit the nearby Filipino bakery. I’d savor fresh pan de sal (soft bread rolls) or enjoy chewy butsi (fried mochi balls with sweet bean paste, rolled in sesame seeds), but my favorite was always pan de ube—a soft, smooth bread roll with sweet ube filling. Some days, I’d switch it up and go next door for a scoop of creamy ube ice cream—a flavor that still brings me comfort today.

Ube, a beloved Filipino dessert flavor made from purple yam, is known for its vibrant violet color and subtly sweet, nutty taste. That same flavor, so close to my heart, is now part of our kitchen. Our new Ube Pie features a buttery ube crust, rich cashew cream cake made with real ube, and is topped with a light, fluffy ube cocowhip.

It’s a little taste of home, and I’m so happy to share it with you.
